Participation

The MICS Program Committee invites you to submit a paper, poster, demonstration, presentation, or panel discussion topic relevant to the MICS mission, which includes the use of computers in instruction, instruction in computer science, integration of research and instruction, and student research. Papers will undergo thorough review by members of the program committee. Faculty and students may participate in the symposium in any of the categories below. Faculty and student sessions will run separately. Students may additionally participate in the programming and robot competitions.

Paper

Those wishing to present a paper should submit a 300-500 word abstract, which must provide sufficient details to judge the submission. Student papers are strongly encouraged, and an award will be given for the best student paper. A paper is considered a "student" paper if a full-time student is the primary author and presents the paper. Faculty or other students may be listed as secondary authors. Conference registration is required for acceptance and publication of any paper.

Research Presentations

Those wishing to give a presentation on work that has already been published in a peer-reviewed outlet should submit a full copy of the published article and a citation of the publication. This forum will provide a means for disseminating contemporary high-caliber research to conference attendees.
