Here is my little corner of the web where I share some of the exciting things I am doing. I am a computer scientist who is interested in making high-performance computing easier to use and teaching people inside and outside of computer science how to utilize their power. For research, I am collaborating on a project to update a popular land-use change model, SLEUTH, with Dr. Gargi Chaudhuri. My current teaching interests include: introduction to python, operating systems, databases and data science (new), and parallel and distributed computing. I am also one of the faculty advisers for the CODERS student group.

Currently, I am an Assistant Professor in the computer science department at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. See the other pages for information about current activities. You will also find my schedule and contact information above.

Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Computer Science and Math Group Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) working under David Bernholdt. My research activities at ORNL included developing and maintaining a coupling framework for a fusion energy simulation project and exploring the composition of codes using different threading models.

In 2010, I received my PhD in computer science from Indiana University’s School of Informatics and Computing (SOIC) under the direction of Dr. Randall Bramley.
